Commemorative Poster
Chapman University, a prestigious private university in Orange, CA, is opening a state of the art center for science and technology. To spread awareness to alumni and future students alike, a poster will be dispersed through the mail as well as displayed around campus.
The design for the poster employs contemporary isometric design to showcase the building in a futuristic manner. It utilizes bright purple and pink tones on a dark background so that the subject appears to be glowing creating a sense of mystery and awe in a space like atmosphere. The building is disconnected from the main campus so to appear as if it is slowly descending to campus to its spot next to the football field. It is suspended in space in this way to reflect the slow approach of two objects in space. Just as a ship goes into space to explore and discover, this building is a vehicle to open the door to further scientific discovery.
